Awesome weekend in Adelaide 15th January 2012

Another great weekend here in Adelaide once again, with it really showing why they call Adelaide The Festival State.

Friday night had Clearway belting out some awesome hits and keeping the crowd pumping at the 2012 Schutzenfest, a German festival which actually means Shooting Festival, however many go there to just drink lots of German beer, and have fun. Its Adelaide’s version of Oktoberfest.

Schutzenfest went on Saturday again and was a great day. I decided to take my wife and the kids down and enjoy some German Festivities. They had some free rides for the kids, and a band playing which gave a great atmosphere.

On Sunday Semaphore hosted the Annual Greek Festival which is always a great time. Great food and Greek festivities here, with George Kapiniaris appearing to talk to the audience, which was a great laugh.  On a 30 degree day it is perfect to be at a festival at the beach. Absolutely wonderful.

The Sunday evening had a leg of the Tour Down Under starting in the city and heading to Willunga.

The Adelaide lifestyle just keeps getting better and better and we have the Fringe Festival coming up soon, which always is one of the leading festivals in Adelaide.

So there is no better time to get over here, and book some great Accommodation in Adelaide and check out what Adelaide has to offer. One thing that is becoming clearer and clearer is that you will not regret visiting Adelaide.
