The Schutzenfest was rocking on Saturday night, with great bands, a huge crowd, and most importantly, tasty beer.
We went with a small group of us, and got there late in the day. Our first port of call was to get some delicious German cuisine. After doing this, it was beer time. The beautiful weather certainly came out for us on this fine January day, with the day not being too hot or too cool, as it has been in some of the past years.
The atmosphere at the Schutzenfest is amazing, with everyone in high spirits, and one thing I was suprised at was a total lack of violence, even though there was a lot of alcohol involved.
The organisers of this event really do deserve a lot of credit for putting together such a fine event each year.
